    You must:

    • Be an Australian resident aged 15 or over
    • Have a valid email address and an Australia mobile number
    • Be a sole trader, or an Australian private company owned by individuals or single or multiple directors, where at least two directors must apply for an account
    • Have an active Everyday Business Account with AMP Bank GO.

    To open a Business Save account:

    1. Download AMP Bank GO to your phone via the Apple App Store or Google Play
    2. Onboard with your ID and film yourself for extra security
    3. Once approved, your Everyday Business Account will be opened
    4. To set up a Business Save account;
      • Click on your Profile icon
      • Select 'Open a new account'
      • In the 'add to an existing account' section, select the relevant business account
      • Select 'Business Save' as the account type you want to open.

    If you have an Everyday Business Account, you can open a Business Save account linked to your Everyday Business Account.



     

    To do this, just go to the Profile section of the app to select 'Open a new account' and proceed. For companies, Any director with Business Everyday account access can open and operate a Business Save Account.

    To open a Business Save account:

     

    • Go to your Profile
    • Select 'Open a new account'
    • In the 'add to an existing account' section, select the relevant business account
    • Select 'Business Save' as the account type you want to open.

    You can only open 1 Business Save account, however you can create up to 99 Savings Spaces to separate your savings balances.

    Your Business Save account will have:

     

    • No monthly account keeping fees
    • No minimum balance
    • Payments to and from a linked Everyday Business Account
    • Interest calculated daily, paid monthly
    • Savings Spaces for separate savings goals

    You are able to view your Account Statements and Interest and Tax Summary in the 'Statements and Documents' section of AMP Bank GO.



     

    You can generate and access your account statements at any time by logging into AMP Bank GO and navigating to ‘Statements and Documents’

    Your Interest and Tax Summary outlines the gross amount of interest earned, interest that is subject to withholding tax, and where applicable the amount of tax deducted, from your interest bearing account with AMP Bank in a given financial year.

     

    The interest subject to withholding tax summarises interest payments from which withholding tax was deducted. If you have quoted your Tax File Number or Australian Business Number (if appropriate) to AMP Bank part way through the year, you may have received other interest payments which were not subject to withholding tax.

    You are paid interest on the 1st of the following month that you have earned interest on.

    The interest rate is variable and may be changed by us from time to time. If we change the interest rate applicable to your Business Save account, we’ll let you know via AMP Bank GO. We’ll do this as soon as reasonably possible and no later than when the change takes effect.

    Withholding Tax is the tax that is deducted by AMP Bank from the interest earned when you have not provided us your ABN, TFN or a TFN exemption.

    To link your Xero account, go to the Xero section in your menu, select 'Log into Xero', select 'Allow access', select the organisation that exists in your Xero account to link to your Business Save account.

    If you have an Everyday Business Account, you can open a Business Save account linked to your Everyday Business Account.

    • When your old account has a nil balance, send us a secure message via My AMP to close it for you.

    Tip: Note down all your payee details before closing your old account, so you can set them up in AMP Bank GO.
